2001/02
12 teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro participated in Goodyear League in its first season: Union Olimpija, Krka, Pivovarna Laško, Geoplin Slovan, Cibona VIP, Zadar, Triglav Osiguranje, Split Croatia Osiguranje, FEAL Široki, Bosna ASA, Sloboda Dita, Budućnost.
In February 2002 ABA was admitted as an equal member of the ULEB association.
There were 22 rounds played in the regular part of the season, best four teams qualified for the Final Four Tournament which was played in Ljubljana on March 23rd and 24th 2002.
The first trophy in Goodyear League was won by Union Olimpija.
2002/03
12 teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Israel participated in Goodyear League in its second season: Union Olimpija, Krka, Pivovarna Laško, Cibona VIP, Zadar, Zagreb, Split Croatia Osiguranje, FEAL Široki, Bosna ASA, Borac Nektar, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Crvena zvezda.
There were 22 rounds played in the regular part of the season, best four teams qualified for the Final Four Tournament which was played in Ljubljana since April 3rd until April 5th 2003. According to the original plan the Final Tournament should be played in Tel Aviv but since the situation was pretty insecure there at that time the tournament was moved to Ljubljana.
Zadar became the 2003 Goodyear League champion.
2003/04
The league expanded before the 2003/04 season. 14 teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro participated in Goodyear League in its third season: Union Olimpija, Krka, Pivovarna Laško, Geoplin Slovan, Cibona VIP, Zadar, Zagreb, Split Croatia Osiguranje, Široki Hercegtisak, Banjalučka pivara, Crvena zvezda, Reflex, Budućnost, Lovćen CG komercijalna banka.
There were 26 rounds played in the regular part of the season, best four teams qualified for the Final Four Tournament which was played in Zagreb since April 16th until April 18th 2004.
Reflex became the 2004 Goodyear League Champion.
2004/05
The league expanded for the second time since the inaugural season before the 2003/04 season.
16 teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro participated in Goodyear League in its fourth season: Union Olimpija, Helios, Pivovarna Laško, Geoplin Slovan, Cibona VIP, Zadar, Zagreb, Split Croatia Osiguranje, Šibenka Dalmare, Široki Hercegtisak, Bosna ASA BH TELECOM, Crvena zvezda, Partizan Pivara MB, Hemofarm, Reflex, Budućnost.
In this season the league also decided to change the play-off system. The Final Tournament was expanded and renamed into the Final Eight Tournament. There were 30 rounds played in the regular part of the season, best eight teams qualified for the Final Eight Tournament which was played in Belgrade since April 28th until May 1st 2005.
Hemofarm became the 2005 Goodyear League Champion.
2005/06
The fifth season brought another change in the competition structure. Following the idea to make the league as strong as possible the management of the Goodyear league decided to reduce the number of clubs from 16 to 14 again.
14 teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro participated in Goodyear League in its fifth season: Union Olimpija, Helios, Pivovarna Laško, Geoplin Slovan, Cibona, Zadar, Zagreb, Široki ERONET, Bosna ASA BH TELECOM, Crvena zvezda, Partizan, Hemofarm, FMP, Vojvodina Srbijagas.
There were 26 rounds played in the regular part of the season, best eight teams qualified for the Final Eight Tournament which was played in Sarajevo since April 20th until April 23rd 2006.
FMP became the Goodyear League Champion.
